Murcia is one of europe’s undiscovered gems, catering for cyclists of all abilities, with leisurely flats around the Mar Menor (huge salt water lagoon), to the many climbs such as the Cresta del Gallo, El Garruchal and Cabeza de la Plata. Finally a not for the faint hearted is the Vuelta de España tour proven terrain of the Sierra Espuña with 1500m climb taking you through the national park from Totana to Alhama de Murcia.

The Region of Murcia has definitely got routes for everyone, and what’s more, the weather boasts 320 days of sunshine per year, with fantastic all year round temperatures. The roads are quiet and in very good condition, but best of all the drivers are courteous and friendly towards cyclists!
